2023 is an important year for Cargus. We have begun a complex process of transforming the company into a sustainable organization, which is the foundation of our endeavor to become number 1 in customer preferences and a responsible player for the good of future generations.

Caring for the environment, supporting education and creating an ecosystem that encourages diversity, inclusion and equity are the pillars on which we build our long-term sustainability strategy.

Part of this strategy consists in concluding partnerships with some of the most important non-profit organizations in Romania. So, in the lines below you can find the NGOs that we have decided to support this year, financially and through the voluntary actions of the Cargus team.

Inocenti Foundation – Romanian Children’s Relief

It is an organization that has been helping children from disadvantaged backgrounds to overcome their limits for over 30 years. Cargus has been a partner of the Inocenti Foundation for 4 years already, and in July we already had two important actions together, one of which was at our headquarters in Măgurele. Let’s Do It, Romania!

It is the largest social movement in Romania, with over 1,900,000 volunteers involved in 10 years of activity, and probably many of you know their initiative, National Cleaning Day, a unique concept in Romania, that will take place on September 16.

Cargus will participate with an extended team of volunteers in the annual cleaning action, but we will also develop other projects together with Let’s Do It, Romania!.

Viitor Plus

Viitor Plus Association is a non-profit organization that has been active in Romania since 2006 and that supports sustainable development. The organization runs a multitude of environmental education programs, social entrepreneurship, reforestation, reuse and recycling, volunteering for the environment, but also eco-tourism development and construction of solar panels.

Because we understand how important it is to care for the environment and build a better and healthier world for future generations, this year we will get involved in two of their projects: Adopt a Tree and Eco Challenge. You can read about Viitor Plus actions and projects here www.viitorplus.ro/.

Casa Bună

Casa Bună Association is a community of hundreds of volunteers built on the desire to provide education and support to the less fortunate. The purpose of the association is to shape good people, through education, vocational development, providing health services and facilitating a decent living for children from disadvantaged backgrounds and their families.

We were convinced by the generosity of the association’s volunteers and we are honoured that Casa Bună accepte dus as partners in their projects.

Together for Humanity

The association has been active in Romania for 13 years and aims to provide social, educational, cultural and medical services for people in difficulty or from disadvantaged backgrounds.

This year, we will support the first free psychotherapy centre for disadvantaged or insolvent people, an initiative that is extremely necessary in these times. Helix Brăila

Education and innovation will define our next steps, so the story of Helix Brăila convinced us from the first lines and led us to support their dream. Founded in 2018, the Helix team brings together young high school and middle school students from Brăila, who are actively involved in running robotics workshops. The organization combines the passion for technology and robotics with the goal of being a strong competitor in the First Tech Challenge Romania Championship.
